Health and safety award from the British Safety Council

I'm delighted to say that we’ve won an International Safety Award with Merit from the British Safety Council. It’s the 16th time we’ve been given this award and the 4th year in a row we’ve achieved a merit.

To win the award, we had to demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the scheme’s
independent judges, our commitment to health and safety.

Mike Robinson, Chief Executive of the British Safety Council, congratulated us on our success by saying, “The British Safety Council commends MacDermid Autotype on your achievement. The award is in recognition of your commitment and efforts to keep your employees and workplace free of injury and ill health.

“Sensible and proportionate management of health and safety risks at work brings lasting benefits for workers, their families, businesses and society as a whole. By celebrating and sharing the achievements of the winners of the International Safety Awards, we encourage businesses all over the world to follow their lead and place employees’ health and safety at the heart of their business. I think it reflects particularly well on all of us that we successfully maintained our high standards of health and safety during what was at times a difficult year in 2016 and to such an extent that we’ve achieved this international award.
